- B. J. Ryan winning pitcher
- Troy Glaus double in the 9th, scored the winning run on MVP Michael Young's triple, the third of three straight two-out hits off Trevor Hoffman
- Vernon Wells went 1-for-3 and threw out a runner at home
- Roy Halladay gave up 1 run on a wild pitch
The American League has not lost an All-Star game since 1996.
